Background The project involves paint and flooring repairs for two buildings, HP275 and HP465, located at MCB Camp Lejeune. The contractor is responsible for providing all necessary materials, labor, equipment, and supervision to complete the work. The buildings are BEQs (Bachelor Enlisted Quarters) and have tested negative for lead in all surfaces. The goal of the contract is to ensure that the buildings are properly maintained and aesthetically pleasing through necessary repairs and painting. Work Details The contractor shall perform the following tasks: prep, paint, and replace flooring systems in buildings HP275 and HP465. Specific requirements include: 1. Paint all previously painted surfaces throughout the interior and exterior of both buildings including walls, doors, door frames, and window frames. 2. Repair cracks, holes, and damaged surfaces to ensure a solid foundation for painting. 3. Clean and treat mold and mildew areas before applying finish coatings. 4. Apply appropriate surfacing compounds to match surrounding finishes on damaged surfaces. 5. Replace any damaged or rotten trim boards, siding, or moldings as specified. 6. Secure loose trim boards or moldings that are not damaged. 7. Prime all repaired surfaces with latex KILZ 2 or equivalent unless otherwise noted. 8. Apply two coats of latex direct to metal semi-gloss finish paint on metal surfaces. 9. Apply two coats of eggshell/satin finish latex paint on interior wall surfaces. 10. Apply two coats of semi-gloss latex finish paint on wood trim and doors. 11. Sand wood trim with natural finishes for appearance and apply two coats of polyurethane finish coat as required. 12. Apply two coats of Loxon masonry coating or equivalent on exterior masonry surfaces. 13. Apply two coats of semi-gloss latex finish paint on EFIS finishes. 14. Apply two coats of high gloss coating in high bay areas for maximum illumination. 15. Additional tasks include removing furniture for protection during work, repainting electrical panels, covering furniture during painting, cleaning overspray from surfaces, ensuring no glass surfaces are painted unless specified, and maintaining artwork on walls during painting. Place of Performance The construction projects will be performed at MCB Camp Lejeune in Hadnot Point.
