The Nashua School District (NSD) is a public school system comprised of two high schools, three middle schools, twelve elementary schools, a pre-school/alternative high school, a School Administration Building, and a Plant Operations complex. The total square footage of these facilities is approximately 2,000,000. NSD aims to maintain all building systems in peak operating condition and up to current codes while providing a safe learning environment for students, staff, and visitors. The district is seeking to partner with a full-service pest management firm to deliver effective pest control while minimizing pesticide use and reducing human and environmental exposure.
The contractor will provide integrated pest management (IPM) services including: 1. Facility Assessments: Conduct IPM assessments at each facility and prepare reports documenting results with recommendations for IPM measures and physical improvements. 2. Implement IPM Measures: Brief the facilities team on assessment results and recommended measures; initiate the IPM program per approved schedule; maintain pest control logbooks; provide Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) for all pesticides used; notify Plant Operations Office before pesticide applications. 3. Additional Pest Control Services: Address issues beyond standard IPM services such as bee/wasp nests, birds, bats, snakes, etc., on an hourly fee schedule within 24 hours of notification by the Plant Operations Department.
The initial contract period will commence on September 8, 2026, and run through June 30, 2027. There may be four one-year renewal periods based on proposed rates.
Services will be performed at various facilities within the Nashua School District located in Nashua, New Hampshire.
To qualify for bidding, firms must: 1. Be licensed to apply pesticides in New Hampshire. 2. Employ at least one certified commercial supervisory applicator for every five operational applicators. 3. Provide proof of appropriate insurance coverage including general liability and workers' compensation. 4. Ensure all personnel wear distinctive uniforms while working in or around NSD facilities.
