Background The National Park Service (NPS) is issuing this solicitation for the inspection and testing of structural fire suppression and control equipment across 12 national parks in Alaska. The goal of this contract is to ensure that fire protection systems are maintained in a state of readiness, complying with building codes and identifying system deficiencies for follow-on maintenance and repair services. This solicitation is a 100% Total Small Business Set-aside. Work Details The contractor will provide all labor, supervision, tools, materials, equipment, transportation, lodging, and management necessary to conduct inspection and testing of fire suppression systems and fire alarm systems at multiple facilities. The work will adhere to the most current versions of relevant standards including NFPA 25 for water-based fire protection systems, NFPA 72 for fire alarm systems, and other applicable codes. Specific tasks include: 1. Inspecting and testing mechanical or electrical fire protection systems to ensure they function correctly during emergencies. 2. Documenting the condition of each system and providing reports on findings. 3. Ensuring compliance with safety regulations as outlined in the National Fire Protection Association guidelines. Period of Performance The base period of performance is from June 1, 2026 to December 31, 2026, with four optional periods extending from January 1, 2027 to December 31, 2029. Place of Performance The contract will be performed at various locations within the Alaska Region's national parks.
