Background The County of York, Virginia is seeking bids for the IT Building Addition and Renovation project. The goal is to renovate an existing office structure and construct a new addition at 103 Service Drive, Yorktown, VA. This project aims to upgrade the existing building to meet functional standards equivalent to the new addition. Work Details The scope of work includes two phases: Phase I involves interior wall demolition of 3,229 square feet, installation of temporary construction barriers, plumbing, electrical and mechanical work, installation of new interior partitions, coordination and relocation of site utilities, completion of renovation work within the existing building footprint, site clearing for a 2,771 square foot addition, foundation work for the addition, and installation of all site utilities. Phase II includes continued construction of the building addition with associated tie-ins, completion of all site work including Best Management Practices (BMP), parking lot and final utility connections, temporary seeding and site stabilization. The contractor is responsible for providing all labor, materials, tools, equipment, testing and inspections necessary for the completion of the work. Period of Performance The contract will be performed from the date of award until completion as specified in the project schedule. Bids are due by April 15, 2026. Place of Performance The contract will be performed at 103 Service Drive, Yorktown, VA. Bidder Requirements Bidders must have a current Virginia Class A Contractor's License and must have successfully completed at least two building renovation projects similar in scope within the past four years. Bidders are required to submit a bid bond equal to at least 5% of their total bid amount. Additionally, bidders must provide evidence of experience and qualifications for any subcontractors listed in their bid.
