Background The Military Sealift Command (MSC) is issuing this solicitation for the Rolling Admissions General Ship Repair (GSR) Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract. MSC's mission is to support the joint warfighter across all military operations by providing agile logistics and strategic sealift. The goal of this contract is to ensure that U.S. Navy ships receive necessary repairs and maintenance to remain combat-ready at sea. Work Details The contractor will be responsible for various ship repair tasks as defined in the Statement of Work (SOW), which includes but is not limited to: - Providing ship repair services as specified in the attached SOW document (Document J-5). - Ensuring compliance with all applicable regulations, including obtaining necessary permits for access to Navy facilities and acquiring Defense Biometric Identification System (DBIDS) credentials for personnel prior to performance start date. - Submitting a current list of personnel performing work aboard vessels prior to access, ensuring that no hand-delivered lists are accepted. - Following specific instructions regarding vehicle access to Navy facilities and ensuring all personnel have active DBIDS credentials during the performance period. Place of Performance The primary place of performance will be at Navy facilities located in San Diego, California.
