Background The Sioux Falls VA Health Care System (SFVAHCS) is issuing this contract to replace and upgrade the HVAC systems in the Community Living Centers (CLC). The goal of this project is to ensure that the new HVAC systems meet the requirements of the spaces being served, thereby enhancing patient comfort and safety. The work will be conducted in compliance with all applicable codes and VA guidelines. Work Details The contractor shall provide all labor, materials, tools, and supervision necessary to replace and upgrade the CLC HVAC systems at the Sioux Falls VA Health Care System. This includes removing existing HVAC systems and installing new systems that are adequate for the needs of the facility. All work must comply with current codes including OSHA, International Plumbing Code, NFPA 101, International Building Code, and VA guidelines for patient safety and infection control. The construction will take place on the 2nd and 3rd floors of building 5 on the SFVAHCS campus. The contractor must adhere to VA rules regarding infection control, provide notice for any hot work, and follow specific working hours to minimize disruption to hospital operations. Period of Performance The contractor shall complete all work required under this SOW in 547 calendar days or less from the date of full notice to proceed.
