Background The Department of Veterans Affairs, National Cemetery Administration is issuing this solicitation for trash services at the Omaha National Cemetery. The goal of the contract is to obtain qualified and experienced contractors to provide refuse and recycling collection services in compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. Work Details The contractor shall furnish, deliver, maintain, and remove refuse and recycling containers as requested by the Government. The services include: 1. Collection, transportation, and disposal of solid waste. 2. Proper handling and recycling of designated recyclable materials. 3. Services must be performed in a safe, timely, environmentally responsible manner. 4. Adherence to all applicable federal, state, and local regulations is required. 5. Service schedules will be developed for monthly and as-needed service; no service shall be performed on federal holidays. Period of Performance The period of performance will be one (1) base year with four (4) one-year option periods if exercised from the date of award.
