Summary (Newest Update)

Background The State of North Carolina's Department of Administration (DOA) is responsible for providing a range of governmental services, including the management of approximately 100 state-owned buildings in Wake County. The Facility Management Division (FMD) aims to ensure efficient, healthy, and safe working conditions within these buildings. This Invitation for Bid (IFB) seeks to contract a qualified vendor to provide pest control services specifically for the buildings managed by FMD, located in Raleigh, North Carolina. The intent is to establish an Agency Specific Contract. Work Details The vendor will provide monthly pest control services and respond to requests for extra services and emergencies. Services include: 1) Implementation of an Integrated Pest Management (IPM) program targeting pests such as rats, mice, roaches, fleas, ants, bedbugs, silverfish, centipedes, millipedes, earwigs, spiders, crickets, mosquitoes, and termites (spot treatments). 2) Conducting thorough inspections during each monthly visit to identify sanitation or structural issues conducive to pest attraction. 3) Providing rodent management equipment and applying insect management materials as necessary. 4) Monthly service reports detailing services rendered, material usage reports, structural recommendations, pest activity tracking reports, and trend analysis. 5) Responding to extra service requests within 24 hours and emergency requests within 4 hours. 6) Coordination with the Contract Administrator for access to state buildings and compliance with security protocols. Period of Performance The initial contract term is one year from the date of final contract execution with options for up to four additional one-year renewals at the State's discretion. Place of Performance All services will be performed at various state-owned buildings located in Raleigh, North Carolina. Bidder Requirements Vendors must possess a current North Carolina Pest Control License and a Green Pro Certification or equivalent certification. Vendors are required to demonstrate financial stability and must not have any legal proceedings that could adversely affect their performance under the contract. Additionally, vendors must comply with HUB participation goals by utilizing at least 10% diverse firms as subcontractors.
