Background San Juan County is seeking to establish a price agreement for the purchase of asphalt emulsions and associated products. The purpose of this solicitation is to ensure a reliable supply of asphalt materials for public works projects, aligning with the county's infrastructure maintenance and development goals. Work Details The contractor(s) will provide the following asphalt materials: - 500 tons of High Float Emulsion (100P) - 100 tons of SS-1H Emulsified Asphalt - 200 tons of Polymer Modified Cationic Slow Set Emulsion (CSS-1P) These materials must be delivered to specified locations. The contractor must comply with New Mexico State Department of Transportation specifications for asphalt materials, including AASHTO standards. All products must be delivered FOB Destination and include certificates of compliance with each load. Additionally, the contractor must provide sampling and testing as required by the county, including weekly reports on material supplied and adherence to quality standards. Period of Performance The primary term of the agreement is one year from the date of award, with options for up to three additional one-year renewals, not exceeding four years in total. Place of Performance Delivery locations are specified as County Wide Locations within San Juan County, New Mexico. Bidder Requirements Bidders must be properly licensed under applicable state statutes and may need to provide performance bonds equal to 100% of the total purchase order upon issuance. Bidders are encouraged to submit both primary and alternate bids. To qualify for resident business or veteran business preferences, valid certificates must be included with the bid.
