Background The Elkin Veterinary Laboratory, part of the North Carolina Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services' Veterinary Division, is seeking to replace its existing roof system. Work Details The contractor will provide architecture and engineering services that include design, bidding, construction administration, and closeout services for the removal and replacement of the existing roof system. The scope of work specifically involves: 1. Removal of the existing roof system (original to the 11,154 SF building). 2. Installation of a new Standing Seam Metal Roof System. 3. Ensuring that the design adheres to State Construction Office (SCO) standards and complies with all ADA and life safety requirements. Period of Performance The contract will be performed over a timeframe that aligns with the project budget allocation for fiscal years 2021-2022 and 2022-2023. Place of Performance The work will be conducted at the Elkin Veterinary Laboratory located in Surry County, North Carolina. Bidder Requirements Proposing firms must be properly licensed to practice Architecture, Engineering, or Landscape Architecture in the State of North Carolina.
