Background The Nashua Transit System (NTS) is seeking proposals from qualified transportation providers to deliver Fixed Route Service and Paratransit Service, aiming to enhance customer mobility in the region. The contract is intended to ensure high-quality public transportation services that comply with federal, state, and local regulations. Work Details The contractor will be responsible for operating public transportation services, ensuring safety, comfort, and convenience for passengers. Key responsibilities include: - Staffing the Transit Center Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm; - Compliance with ADA requirements; - Operation of a fleet of 22 vehicles; - Providing Fixed Route and Paratransit Services; - Managing dispatch operations; - Ensuring on-time performance; - Maintaining vehicles and facilities; - Reporting to relevant authorities; - Managing ticket sales and customer service. The contractor must also adhere to safety training protocols and maintain a detailed safety program. Period of Performance The contract will span five years, starting from July 1, 2026, through June 30, 2031. Place of Performance Services will be performed in Nashua, New Hampshire. Bidder Requirements Proposers must have a minimum of five years of experience in transit services. They are required to provide proof of capability to fulfill the contract terms, including a list of similar clients served in the past five years. Proposers must comply with all applicable federal regulations including drug and alcohol testing requirements as per FTA guidelines.
