This Sources Sought (SS) is issued solely for market research purposes to determine potential sources. Description: Moody AFB is searching for capable vendors able to fulfill the requirement of perfoming body damage repair/replacement for a 2021 Rosenbauer Type III Fire Engine, designated by the Air Force as a wildland firefighting apparatus. During a reversing incident involving the Rosenbauer vehicle, the passenger side rear compartment panel and center compartment door were damaged. The scope of work includes: - Pickup of Engine 156, a 2021 Type III Fire Engine from Moody AFB via flatbed truck. - Removing remaining damaged parts of the passenger side, center compartment door and the damaged body work adjacent to the center compartment. Assess body damage and center compartment damage, to include chips/chunks/gouges as well as any mounting hardware that may have broken. - Fabricating aluminum patch to replace removed damaged panel and perform body work to integrate patch into the existing body profile of the vehicle. - Installing new compartment door, to include the door seal, door dampeners, d-handle, door seal plate, and door hinge. - Painting the repaired body panel and new compartment door to match existing exterior color and compartment interior to match the other compartments colors on the vehicle. - Application of the Department of the Air Force Fire Protection Maltese Cross logo on the new passenger side center door (see driver's side compartment door for representative sample). - Return delivery of Engine 156, a 2021 Type III Fire Engine to Moody AFB via flatbed truck.
The vehicle has been restored to operational condition with all listed repairs completed. It has been tested and is now ready for return to service. Responses must address the following: 1.
