Background The Department of Corrections, Division of Administrative Services, is issuing this Invitation to Bid (ITB) to establish a multi-year contract for the supply of laundry, warewashing, and janitorial chemical products on an as-needed basis for various facilities operated by the Alaska Department of Corrections statewide. The goal is to ensure that all correctional facilities are adequately supplied with necessary cleaning chemicals to maintain hygiene and sanitation standards. Work Details The contractor will provide laundry, warewashing, and janitorial chemical products as specified in the ITB. This includes: - Supply of cleaning chemicals for laundry operations at multiple correctional facilities. - Supply of cleaning chemicals for warewashing (both mechanical and manual) in kitchen areas. - Supply of janitorial cleaning chemicals for general facility maintenance. - Installation and maintenance of dispensing equipment for these chemicals at each facility. The contractor must ensure that all products meet the specifications outlined in the bid schedule and adjust dispensing ratios as needed to achieve optimal cleaning results. Additionally, the contractor will be responsible for providing service personnel who will conduct regular maintenance checks and training on equipment use. Period of Performance The contract will commence approximately on April 1, 2026, and will run through March 31, 2027, with options to renew for three additional one-year terms through March 31, 2030. Place of Performance The contract will be performed at various correctional facilities across Alaska including but not limited to Anchorage Correctional Complex, Lemon Creek Correctional Center, Fairbanks Correctional Center, Goose Creek Correctional Center, and others as listed in the ITB. Bidder Requirements Bidders must have a valid Alaska business license or commit to obtaining one prior to contract award. They must demonstrate at least five years of experience supplying institutional-scale cleaning products to large facilities such as correctional or healthcare institutions. Bidders are required to provide proof of their business license and compliance with applicable state laws including the Americans with Disabilities Act and Equal Employment Opportunity regulations.
