Background The Chena River Lakes Flood Control Project, managed by the United States Army Corps of Engineers - Alaska District, is located in North Pole, Alaska. The primary goal of this contract is to provide annual Construction Support Services and Debris Removal Support to maintain and operate the flood control infrastructure effectively. Work Details The contractor will perform two main tasks: Task 1 involves providing heavy equipment with operators and fuel for various operations and maintenance tasks within the project boundaries. Task 2 requires heavy equipment with operators and fuel to cut, stack, and haul tree and vegetative debris from the Chena River Baling Deck to the Staging yard. Minimum equipment for Task 2 includes two side dump trucks, one standard excavator, one laborer, and one operations supervisor. The contractor must supply all personnel, equipment, transportation, materials, and supervision necessary for these tasks, including safety and quality control duties. Specific heavy equipment requirements include belly-dump trucks, side dump trucks, standard dump trucks, self-propelled vibratory compactors, water trucks, large excavators, standard excavators with thumb attachments for handling debris, front-end loaders of various sizes with snow plow attachments, skid-steer loaders with multiple attachments, bulldozers equipped with rippers, tractor trailers for oversize loads transport including pilot vehicles when required, graders for road maintenance and snow removal, traffic control personnel trained in safety protocols, and laborers skilled in using chainsaws and hand tools.
