Background Spartanburg County School District Six (SCSD6) is one of seven districts within Spartanburg County, serving a population of approximately 53,000 people. The district operates 10 Elementary/Pre-K schools, 3 Middle schools, and 2 High School campuses with an approximate enrollment of 11,800 students. The district is seeking a qualified individual or firm to provide construction management related services and construction administration for a variety of upcoming construction projects. Work Details The contractor will provide construction administration consulting services including: - Assisting in refining budget/scopes of projects; - Scheduling and coordination of various contractors (Architects/Engineers, General Contractors, Inspections); - Coordinating ordering of materials through the District; - Reviewing pay applications; - Providing construction oversight and accountability. The projects include: - New Dawkins Middle School (185,000 sf for 1200 students), - New Elementary School/Child Development Center (150,000 sf for 840 students), - Addition to Anderson Mill Elementary (29,600 sf), - Addition/Renovation to Dorman Freshman Campus (50,075 sf), - Addition at Fairforest Middle School (21,960 sf), - Addition/Renovation at Gable Middle School (34,910 sf), - Addition at Pauline-Glenn Springs Elementary (22,395 sf), - Addition at Woodland Heights Elementary School (26,700 sf), and - A new Elementary school on the current Dawkins Middle school site. Period of Performance The contract will be effective for one year from the date of award with options to renew for four additional one-year periods, totaling a potential five-year contract duration. Place of Performance The services will be performed within Spartanburg County, South Carolina. Bidder Requirements Offerors must comply with the South Carolina Illegal Immigration Reform Act. They must also provide evidence of their ability to meet all contractual requirements upon request. The contractor must maintain necessary insurance policies including Workers' Compensation and general liability insurance. Background checks are required for all individuals performing work on the project.
