Background The City of Covington is issuing this Invitation for Bid (IFB #2026-01) for the Municipal Sidewalks project. The purpose of this contract is to enhance public infrastructure by removing and replacing various sidewalks, steps, curbs, gutters, retaining walls, driveway entrances, handicap ramps, ditches, and other masonry activities as specified. Work Details The contractor will be responsible for providing all labor, materials, equipment, and services necessary to complete the construction or repair of sidewalks and related structures. Specific tasks include: 1. Removal of existing sidewalks and entrances: - 260 square yards on Jackson Street - 140 square yards on Spruce Street - 150 square yards on Fudge Street 2. Installation of hydraulic cement concrete (4 inches thick) in specified areas: - 260 square yards on Jackson Street - 140 square yards on Spruce Street - 150 square yards on Fudge Street 3. Installation of CG-12 detectable warning surfaces: - 3 units on Jackson Street - 3 units on Spruce Street 4. Replacement of existing entrances: - 7 units on Spruce Street - 5 units on Fudge Street 5. Replacement of residential apron: - 1 unit on Fudge Street.
