Background The State of Iowa is seeking an Event Coordinator to assist in developing and coordinating the America's Harvest event to celebrate America's 250th Birthday. This initiative is part of the Governor's Task Force on Celebrating America's 250th Birthday, established by Executive Order No. 16 on November 6, 2025. The Task Force aims to plan, encourage, develop, and coordinate the commemoration of this significant anniversary while recognizing Iowa’s integral role in American history. Throughout 2026, Iowa will host a series of webinars and a Harvest Festival on October 24, 2026, to celebrate the contributions of agriculture to American democracy. Work Details The Event Coordinator will be responsible for: - Coordinating event planning with internal (State) and external (cities, vendors, etc.) stakeholders; - Supporting program leads; - Convening and delegating key programs through agencies. Period of Performance The contract shall commence on the date of contract execution and will end on December 31, 2026. Place of Performance The services will be performed in Iowa. Bidder Requirements Respondents must comply with all requirements outlined in the RFP including certifications related to their proposals. They must also register to do business in Iowa before payments can be made.
