Background The County of Henrico, Virginia is issuing this Invitation for Bid (IFB) to establish an annual contract for the provision of preventive maintenance and repair services for overhead and bi-fold doors. Work Details The Successful Bidder will provide all necessary labor, supervision, materials, and equipment to perform preventive maintenance and repairs on overhead and bi-fold doors. Key tasks include: 1. Performing semi-annual preventive maintenance during normal working hours (Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM), which includes inspection and servicing of doors, rollers, tracking systems, springs, chains, cables, belts, emergency mechanisms, electrical components, timers, remote equipment, weather-stripping, safety features (such as safety strips and alarms), and manual emergency release mechanisms. 2. Notifying the County's authorized representative of any required repairs beyond routine maintenance and providing written estimates prior to performing such repairs. 3. Guaranteeing all repairs for one year or the manufacturer's warranty period. 4. Providing replacement services when repair costs exceed replacement costs. 5. Submitting electronic or paper service tickets/reports within 24 hours after each service visit detailing work performed. Period of Performance The contract will be effective from the date of award until the end of the fiscal year with options for renewal based on performance and funding availability. Place of Performance Services will be performed at various locations throughout Henrico County as specified by the County's authorized representatives. Bidder Requirements Bidders must have a minimum of five years’ experience in providing similar services and must possess a Virginia Contractor’s License Classification B or better with Specialty Classification as an Electrical Contractor or Commercial Building Contractor. Additionally, bidders must submit proof of their business license if located in Henrico County.
