Roofing Preventive Maintenance and Repair Service

Background

Hudson Valley Community College (HVCC), founded in 1953, is the largest community college in upstate New York, located in Troy, NY. The college offers degree and certificate programs across various fields and serves over 19,000 students. HVCC is seeking bids for roofing preventive maintenance and repair services to maintain its facilities, which consist of 24 buildings covering approximately 1,600,000 square feet.

Work Details

The contract includes the following services: 1. Repair of roofing on campus no longer covered by a warranty. 2. Routine patching and repair of roof membrane. 3. Replacement of damaged sections of roofing. 4. Repair of leaks around existing roof-mounted equipment. 5. Flashing/flashing repair. 6. Preventive maintenance of roofs covered by a warranty. The types of roofing on campus include EPDM, TPO, PVC, and Metal. Quality control submittals required include Fire Hazard Certification, Material Certification from the roofing manufacturer, Membrane Manufacturer’s Certification, Installer’s Certification, and Warranty documentation.

Period of Performance

The contract term begins on September 1, 2026, and ends on August 31, 2029, with options to renew for two additional years.

Place of Performance

The services will be performed at Hudson Valley Community College's campus located at 80 Vandenburgh Avenue, Troy, New York.

Bidder Requirements

Bidders must maintain a business location within a fifty (50) mile radius of HVCC's campus and comply with all local codes and regulations. The contractor must self-perform all work using its own employees; subcontracting is prohibited without prior written consent from HVCC. Bidders are required to provide a Certificate of Insurance naming HVCC as an additional insured and must comply with prevailing wage requirements.
