Summary: Background The contract is issued by the Stratton Air National Guard Base, which is part of the U.S. Air Force. The goal of this contract is to replace the existing boilers in Building 7 with new, high-efficiency units to enhance operational efficiency and reliability. Work Details The contractor shall provide all labor, equipment, materials, and supervision necessary to demolish and remove the existing boilers and install new, fully functional, high-efficiency boilers in the mechanical room of Building 7. The current system consists of two condensing boilers with a joint capacity of 5,800 MBH that need to be replaced with comparable units. Key tasks include: - Safely de-energizing and disconnecting existing systems; - Removing and disposing of old boilers and associated components; - Installing two new boilers capable of meeting a demand of 5.5 MMBtu; - Installing a new expansion tank; - Ensuring proper glycol/water ratios; - Installing a low-flow water meter; - Replacing valves; - Power-flushing the system to remove sludge; - Confirming utility line tie-ins; - Piping according to ASME and International Mechanical Code standards; - Performing complete system start-up and testing; - Connecting to the base’s Metasys control system; - Providing training on operation and maintenance; - Submitting all required documentation including operation manuals and warranty information.
