Construction of Rape Crisis Center

The City of Chattanooga is seeking separate sealed bids for the construction of the Rape Crisis Center. The project requires the furnishing of all supervision, materials, labor, tools, equipment, and appliances necessary for the construction. The work includes an interior build-out of a medical-office type use within an existing building shell, which involves demolition, new plumbing, new mechanical ductwork, and installation of a new electrical panel. Additionally, modifications to the existing fire sprinkler and fire alarm systems are required, along with upgrades to existing exterior doors with electronic controls. A Pre-Bid Conference is scheduled for Wednesday, June 24, 2026, at 10:00 A.M. local time, at 5701 Uptain Road, Chattanooga, TN 37411. All bidders must be licensed and comply with the requirements of the State of Tennessee Contractor's Licensing Act. The City of Chattanooga is an Equal Opportunity Employer. To obtain the contract documents, a non-refundable deposit of $100.00 per set is required, payable by check made out to the City of Chattanooga. The check should be mailed to the Purchasing Department. Prior to mailing, bidders can scan and email a copy of the check to bidinfo@chattanooga.gov, and the requested bid documents will be emailed once the check copy is received. Bids must be submitted by 2:00 p.m., EST, on July 9, 2026, at the City Hall, Purchasing Department, Suite G13, where they will be publicly opened and read aloud.
