Background

The Rhode Island Public Transit Authority (RIPTA) is soliciting sealed proposals from qualified manufacturers, fabricators, and suppliers for the furnishing of durable panel/infill materials for installation in existing bus stop shelters. The goal of this contract is to provide materials that are suitable for long-term use in public transit environments, ensuring resistance to weather and vandalism.

Work Details

The selected proposer(s) will provide durable panel/infill materials for bus stop shelters. These materials must be suitable for long-term use in public transit environments, including resistance to weather and vandalism. Additionally, installation services may be required upon request.

Period of Performance

The contract period will commence upon award and is expected to last until the completion of the project as specified in the proposal. The proposal receipt date is set for July 15, 2026.

Place of Performance

The geographic location for performance will be within the state of Rhode Island, specifically at existing bus stop shelter locations managed by RIPTA.

Bidder Requirements

Proposers must comply with Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) obligations as outlined in 49 CFR Part 26. All DBEs submitted must be certified by the State of Rhode Island at the time of proposal submission. Proposers must also certify that they are not on the U.S. Comptroller General's List of Ineligible Contractors.
