Hagerstown Wastewater Treatment Plant Demolition Project

Background

The City of Hagerstown, Maryland, is requesting bids for the Hagerstown Wastewater Treatment Plant Demolition Project (IFB – B1880.26). This project aims to facilitate the targeted removal of existing equipment in the Operations Building and BNR Control Building as outlined in the contract documents. The project is anticipated to be funded by MDE bond funding estimated at $600,000.

Work Details

The work includes the following tasks: 1. Demolition of existing filter press equipment along with associated tanks, pumps, and electrical equipment in the Operations Building. 2. Removal of miscellaneous treatment equipment located in the Polymer Feed Room of the Operations Building. 3. Demolition of the existing caustic soda storage tank, chemical feed pumps, and related appurtenances in the Operations Building. 4. Removal of inoperable chemical utility pipes throughout the Operations Building. 5. Demolition of the Digester Gas Condenser situated in the Operations Building. 6. Demolition of the sodium hypochlorite scrubber system located in the BNR Control Building.

Period of Performance

The project has an expected duration of 30 days.

Place of Performance

The work will be performed at the Hagerstown Wastewater Treatment Plant located at 1 Clean Water Circle, Hagerstown, MD 21740.

Bidder Requirements

Bidders must attend a mandatory pre-bid conference scheduled for June 17th, 2026, at 10 AM local time at the Hagerstown Wastewater Treatment Plant to be eligible to submit a bid.
