Savage Highlands Lodge & House Door Replacement

Background

The Savage Highlands Lodge & House Door Replacement project is issued by the Maryland Department of Natural Resources (DNR). The project aims to enhance the facilities at Savage Highlands Lodge, located at 1600 Mt. Aetna Road, Frostburg, Maryland. The goal is to replace doors, trim, and locking devices to improve security and functionality within the lodge.

Work Details

The contractor is required to provide all labor, equipment, materials, supplies, and insurance necessary for the removal and replacement of doors, trim, and locking devices at Savage Highlands Lodge and House. Specifically, the work includes: 1) Removal of existing doors and related hardware; 2) Installation of new doors with appropriate locking mechanisms; 3) Replacement of trim around doors; 4) Ensuring all installations meet current safety and building standards.

Period of Performance

The work must be completed within 120 calendar days from the date of Notice to Proceed.

Place of Performance

The contract will be performed at Savage Highlands Lodge located at 1600 Mt. Aetna Road, Frostburg, Maryland 21532 in Garrett County.

Bidder Requirements

This procurement is designated for Certified Small Business Enterprises (SBE). Bidders must submit a bid bond if their total bid exceeds $100,000. Additionally, bidders are required to meet a Minority Business Enterprise (MBE) participation goal of 10%. A minimum of 75% of the work must be performed by the prime contractor's own workforce under its immediate supervision. All subcontractors must be disclosed in Attachment P.
