Background

The Matanuska-Susitna Borough (MSB) is seeking bids from qualified contractors for the construction of a Household Hazardous Waste Facility at 9470 East Chanlyut Circle, Palmer, Alaska. This facility will enhance the operational capabilities of the Central Landfill Solid Waste Facility and support the Public Works plan to improve functionality and queuing capacity at the landfill entrance.

Work Details

The contractor will provide all labor, equipment, materials, supervision, and incidentals necessary for the construction of a new metal-framed building which includes: - Interior waste handling areas - Loading dock - Mechanical and electrical systems - Interior finishes - Site drop-off areas - Utilities and site work - Septic system installation - Utility connections to well water, electrical power, natural gas, and fiber communications - Roadway work including paving and striping - Site lighting installation - Compliance with all applicable building codes and regulations - Testing and commissioning of building systems.
