Background

The Municipality of Anchorage, through its Parks & Recreation Department, is seeking bids for fencing installation and repair services as outlined in Invitation to Bid No. 2026C031. The purpose of this contract is to provide the Municipality with the ability to respond to its fencing needs on an 'as required' basis, with no minimum guarantee of work. The total yearly contract amount shall not exceed $500,000, and it is intended that two contracts will be awarded.

Work Details

The contractor will provide all labor, materials, supervision, tools, transportation, equipment, and other facilities necessary to complete the work as specified in approved work orders. Work includes: - Constructing new fencing and gates. - Performing repairs on existing fencing and gates. - Pricing for fence installation is based on linear foot. - Gates are priced per linear foot of opening. - Decorative slats are priced per square foot. - Mobilization/demobilization rates apply for work outside the Anchorage Bowl area. Specific items include: - Fencing: priced on an installed linear foot basis. - Gates: priced on an installed basis including all necessary apparatuses.

Period of Performance

Bidders must comply with all applicable laws concerning discrimination and must adhere to the wage rates set forth in Pamphlet No. 600 from the Alaska Department of Labor.
