Summary: Background The Department of Veterans Affairs is seeking to lease contiguous clinical space for a Vet Center. The goal of this contract is to provide a suitable environment for personnel, furnishings, and equipment necessary to meet the needs of veterans receiving counseling services. The agency's mission includes ensuring that veterans have access to quality care in an appropriate setting. Work Details The leased space must be in a quality building that is either new, modernized, or has undergone restoration. It should be located on the ground floor and designed to facilitate maximum co-location of staff providing services. The lease will be fully serviced, including janitorial services, basic cable, guest high-speed internet Wi-Fi, security monitoring, and maintenance. Specific room requirements include: - Entrance/Exterior: A vestibule at the public entrance, power-assisted front doors, an entry control system for remote access by VA staff, exterior outlets for mobile vet centers, a flagpole for the US flag, and lighted exit signs. - Lobby Area: Multiple data and electrical outlets, dimmer light switches, luxury vinyl flooring, window coverings with solar glare reduction, access-controlled doors to clinical areas, and corridors with a minimum width of 5 feet. - Restrooms: ADA-compliant features including grab bars and power-assisted doors, soundproofing measures, automated dispensers for soap and paper towels, and baby changing stations. - Reception Area: Similar electrical and data outlet requirements as the lobby area.
