Bridge Painting

Background

The Commonwealth of Virginia, through the Department of Transportation (VDOT), is issuing a solicitation for bridge painting services under the project number BRDG-030-900, B618-B621. This project aims to maintain and enhance the structural integrity and appearance of various bridges located in Fauquier County within the Culpeper district. The contract is part of VDOT's ongoing efforts to ensure safe and reliable transportation infrastructure.

Work Details

The contractor will be responsible for the following tasks: 1) Recoating existing structures identified by federal IDs (07147, 07151, 07397, 07408) with protective coatings; 2) Implementing environmental protection measures and health & safety protocols; 3) Proper disposal of materials as per federal guidelines; 4) Providing access for National Bridge Inspection Standards (NBIS) under bridges for specified durations; 5) Maintenance of traffic during construction activities; 6) Mobilization for project setup. All work must comply with VDOT specifications and federal regulations.

Period of Performance

The contract performance period is set from June 24, 2026, with a completion date expected by June 22, 2027.

Place of Performance

The work will be performed at various bridge locations throughout Fauquier County, Virginia.

Bidder Requirements

Bidders must meet prequalification requirements established by VDOT. They are also required to submit a bid bond conforming to Section 102.07, provide evidence of compliance with federal wage determinations, and adhere to equal employment opportunity standards as outlined in the solicitation documents.
