Camp Swift Bldg. 232 Foundation Repairs

Background

The Texas Military Department (TMD) is seeking competitive sealed proposals for the Camp Swift Bldg. 232 Foundation Repairs project located in Bastrop, Texas. This initiative aims to repair the existing barracks foundation to ensure it is structurally sound and suitable for continued use. The project aligns with TGC 2269 and 437.054, emphasizing the importance of maintaining military facilities.

Work Details

The contractor will provide all necessary materials, equipment, labor, coordination, and supervisory activities to complete the construction project. Key tasks include: - Executing construction services to repair the existing barracks foundation; - Ensuring a structurally sound foundation, load-bearing walls, and a watertight roof assembly; - Performing rough and fine grading within a five-foot perimeter of the building for proper drainage; - Placing Bermuda sod on all disturbed soils until established to prevent erosion. The estimated cost for this project is $1,300,000.00 including options.

Period of Performance

Construction is expected to commence upon issuance of a Notice to Proceed within 90 days of contract award. The approximate completion date is September 2027.

The work will be performed at Camp Swift, located at 1705 Hwy 95 North, Bastrop, Texas 78602.

Bidder Requirements

Vendors must attend one of two mandatory site visits scheduled for June 30, 2026, at 2:00 PM CT or July 1, 2026, at 10:00 AM CT. Additionally, vendors are encouraged to participate in subcontracting opportunities with service-disabled veteran-owned businesses (SDVOSB) as part of TMD's VetHUB program.
