Stormwater Drainage System Replacement and Swale Improvements

Background

The Town of Orange Park, Florida, is seeking bids for the Stormwater Drainage System Replacement and Swale Improvements project. The purpose of this project is to improve stormwater conveyance capacity, address aging or failing infrastructure, reduce localized flooding, and restore proper drainage along the corridor. The successful contractor will provide labor, materials, equipment, and supervision necessary to complete the work as specified.

Work Details

The project includes the following tasks: - Removal and replacement of existing stormwater pipe infrastructure. - Excavation of buried stormwater facilities covered by soil and vegetation. - Installation of new storm drainage piping, structures, and appurtenances including HDPE, RCP, or PVC pipe as specified. - Regrading, reshaping, and stabilization of open roadside swales. - Roadway, driveway, sidewalk, and landscape restoration. - Traffic control and maintenance of residential access. - Erosion and sediment control measures. - Utility coordination and protection. The project area includes approximately 5,500 linear feet of stormwater piping with sizes ranging from 12 to 24 inches and existing open swales along both sides of residential roadways.

Period of Performance

Work is to begin within ten (10) calendar days after the Notice to Proceed is issued by the Owner. It must be substantially complete within a maximum of 210 days from that date. All work tasks must be completed within a maximum of 240 calendar days.

Place of Performance

The project will be performed in the Town of Orange Park, Florida.

Bidder Requirements

Bidders must demonstrate a minimum of ten (10) years in underground utility construction experience. They are required to provide evidence of business standing with proof of active registration with the Florida Department of State (Sunbiz), experience with drainage swale grading and restoration, and at least three municipal or commercial references from similar completed projects.
