Summary: Background This solicitation is issued by the United States Air Force for the installation of wind tarps on a building located at Hurlburt Field AFB. The goal of this contract is to prevent weathering of equipment and limit personnel exposure to outside elements by providing a protective covering for the facility. Work Details The contractor shall provide all management, tools, supplies, equipment, labor, and hardware necessary to install pre-purchased wind tarps for building 90538. Key tasks include: 1) Installing wind tarps located on-site by modifying them as needed with grommets to cover the building perimeter; 2) Using corrosion-resistant stainless-steel cables, brackets, and eyelets without drilling into existing steel girders; 3) Installing eyelets into the concrete foundation for anchor points; 4) Ensuring installation meets or exceeds manufacturer guidelines and complies with Florida Building Code and OSHA standards; 5) Repairing and painting any modified areas; 6) Disposing of excess materials off base according to local and federal regulations; 7) Reviewing building plans for quality installation; 8) Providing a one-year warranty for the work performed.
