Community Center Roof Replacement

Background

The Township of Darby is issuing a solicitation for the Community Center Roof Replacement project. The goal of this contract is to replace the existing roof at the Darby Township Community Center located at 2 Studevan Plaza, Hook Road & Sharon Avenue, Darby, PA 19079. This project is part of the township's efforts to maintain and improve community facilities.

Work Details

The contractor will be responsible for the following work: 1. Base Bid: Replacement of Asphalt Shingle Roof (1 LS). 2. Add Alternates: - Replacement of 5/8” Plywood Roof Sheathing (50 EA). - Replacement of Drop-In Acoustic Ceiling Tile (120 EA). - Replacement of R-30 Fiberglass Batt Insulation (480 SF). The contractor must furnish and install all supervision, technical personnel, labor, materials, machinery, tools, appurtenances, and equipment required for the completion of this project as per the specifications provided by Catania Engineering Associates, Inc.

Period of Performance

The work is expected to be completed within 60 calendar days following receipt of the Owner's Notice to Proceed.

Place of Performance

The work will be performed at the Darby Township Community Center located at 2 Studevan Plaza, Hook Road & Sharon Avenue, Darby, PA 19079.

Bidder Requirements

Bidders must submit a bid bond in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the total bid. The successful bidder will also need to provide a performance bond and a payment bond for 100% of the contract price along with a one-year maintenance bond for 10% of the contract price. Bidders are required to comply with prevailing wage rates and various insurance requirements as outlined in the bid package.
