Bus Batteries

Background

The Centre Area Transportation Authority (CATA) is seeking quotes for Bus Batteries to support its fleet operations. The goal of this contract is to procure reliable batteries that meet specific performance standards for use in CATA's buses, ensuring the efficient operation of public transportation services.

Work Details

The contractor will provide Group 31 bus batteries with the following specifications:

Threaded 3/8' Stud

- Cold Cranking Amps (CCA) of 925 - Cranking Amps (CA) of 1140. An estimated quantity of 90 batteries will be purchased over the contract period from August 1, 2026, through July 30, 2027. The price must include all shipping and delivery to CATA's location at 2081 West Whitehall Road, State College, PA 16801. Warranty information must accompany the pricing proposal. Batteries will be ordered on an as-needed basis, typically in quantities of 8-12, with delivery expected within three business days.

Period of Performance

The contract will be performed from August 1, 2026, through July 30, 2027.

Place of Performance

The products will be delivered to CATA's facility located at 2081 West Whitehall Road, State College, PA 16801.

Bidder Requirements

Bidders are encouraged to submit proposals as Disadvantaged Business Enterprises (DBEs) if certified under the Pennsylvania Unified Certification Program. All proposals must comply with federal and state regulations applicable to third-party contracting provisions.
