FY27 Janitorial Services at the Medina DX

Background

The Ohio Department of Public Safety is seeking bids for janitorial services at the Medina Driver’s Exam (DX) location. The goal of this contract is to ensure a clean and sanitary environment for all occupants of the facility, which serves as a customer service and testing area. The services are to be provided after business hours, five days a week, excluding state holidays.

Work Details

The Independent Contractor will provide comprehensive janitorial services including daily cleaning tasks such as vacuuming, dusting, mopping, disinfecting surfaces, and emptying trash receptacles in both customer service and employee areas. Specific responsibilities include: - Daily cleaning of common areas and restrooms. - Weekly tasks such as cleaning glass partitions and spray buffing floors. - Monthly tasks including washing interior windows and dusting baseboards. - Bi-annual tasks like thorough carpet cleaning by January 15th and April 1st, as well as stripping and re-waxing floors. The contractor must provide all necessary equipment and supplies for these tasks, including rubber gloves, cleaning agents, mops, vacuums, and floor buffers. Additionally, the contractor is responsible for carpet cleaning twice annually and tile stripping/waxing once per year.

Period of Performance

The contract will be effective for one year from July 1, 2026 to June 30, 2027.

Place of Performance

Services will be performed at the Medina Driver's Exam (DX) Building located at 970 N. Court Street, Medina, OH 44256.

Bidder Requirements

Bidders must complete a background check for all personnel entering the facility prior to starting work. Attendance at a mandatory site visit is required to bid on this project. The contract will be awarded to the lowest responsive bidder.
