Summary: Background The Syracuse Military Entrance Processing Station (MEPS) is seeking to contract for routine trash collection and disposal services. The goal of this contract is to ensure the proper management of waste generated at the MEPS facility, aligning with the agency's mission to maintain operational efficiency and cleanliness. Work Details The contractor will provide all labor, materials, supplies, tools, equipment, transportation, supervision, and services needed to perform trash collection and disposal services as specified in the Performance Work Statement (PWS). Key tasks include: 1. Weekly trash pickup on scheduled days with a requirement for 100% completion within 24 hours of the scheduled time. 2. On-demand/overflow pickups must be completed within 48 hours of notification; failure to comply will result in non-payment for overflow services. 3. Maintenance of containers to ensure they are clean, safe, and functional; any non-functional or unsanitary containers must be repaired or replaced within 3 business days at no additional cost. 4. The contractor must provide one 4-yard dumpster or equivalent for waste collection. 5. All contractor personnel must identify themselves appropriately while on-site and adhere to safety standards as outlined in applicable regulations. Contractors must ensure all vehicles used for service are marked with the contractor's name and contact information. 3. No Government Furnished Property (GFP), Government Furnished Equipment (GFE), or Government Furnished Facilities (GFF) will be provided under this contract. The prior work includes recurring and as-needed refuse/trash collection and disposal, dumpster/roll-off delivery and relocation, container stenciling/repair, and special handling/cleaning at Army installations—activities that align closely with the Syracuse MEPS requirement for weekly scheduled pickups plus overflow service, provision of dumpsters, and maintenance/repair of containers to ensure sanitation and functionality.
