Background The 88th Medical Group at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base (AFB) is seeking a contractor to provide Medical Linen and Laundry Services. The contractor will be responsible for ensuring compliance with industry standards, health regulations, and OSHA requirements. Work Details The contractor shall provide all necessary personnel, equipment, materials, transportation, and supervision to pick up, launder, and deliver hygienically cleaned linens. The services must comply with the Performance Work Statement (PWS) which includes: 1. Facility Requirements: 100% compliance with HLAC/TRSA standards. 2. Pickup and Delivery: No more than 2 discrepancies per month. 3. Packaging & Labeling: No more than 2 discrepancies per month. 4. Quality & Sustainability: 95% compliance with quality standards. 5. Contaminated Linens: 100% compliance with OSHA standards. 6. Loss and Damage: Government deduction from invoice equivalent to the replacement value of lost/damaged linen. 7. Laboratory Testing: Biannual testing reports showing metrics within acceptable tolerances. Period of Performance Base Year: 1 August 2026 – 31 March 2027; Option Year 1: 1 April 2027 – 31 March 2028; Option Year 2: 1 April 2028 – 31 March 2029; Option Year 3: 1 April 2029 – 31 March 2030; Option Year 4: 1 April 2030 – 31 March 2031. Bidder Requirements The contractor's facility must be certified by the Healthcare Laundry Accreditation Council (HLAC) or the Textile Rental Services Association (TRSA). All services must comply with applicable industry standards, health regulations, and Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) requirements.
