Background

The Texas Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC) is an agency within the Texas Health and Human Services (HHS) system. The Procurement and Contracting Services (PCS) division of HHSC administers Invitations for Bids (IFBs) for HHS. HHSC PCS is seeking competitive bids to establish contracts for generator maintenance, testing, and repair services specifically for the Texas Center for Infectious Disease located in San Antonio, TX. Both HHS Agencies, HHSC and DSHS, will be entitled to use any contract awarded as a result of this IFB.

Work Details

The contractor will provide maintenance, testing, and repair services for emergency generators at the Texas Center for Infectious Disease. This includes responding to service calls within four hours during regular business hours (Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Central Time), performing emergency services within one hour of notification, and ensuring all personnel are licensed with the Texas Department of Licensing & Regulation (TDLR). The contractor must also furnish all necessary labor, tools, equipment, materials, and supplies required to perform the services. Additionally, the contractor must provide a minimum of three verifiable references for similar services performed in the last three years.

Place of Performance

Services will be performed at the Texas Center for Infectious Disease located at 2303 SE Military Dr., San Antonio, TX 78223.

Bidder Requirements

Bidders must have a minimum of five years of relevant experience and their personnel must have at least three years of relevant experience. All personnel must be licensed with TDLR as applicable to the specific services being performed. Bidders are encouraged to submit a HUB Subcontracting Plan if subcontracting opportunities are identified.
