Background

Alvin College (AC) is seeking a sole proprietor or a single individual assigned by a firm to provide Staff Augmentation Project Management Services in connection with comprehensive facilities upgrades and modifications associated with the College’s 2025 Maintenance Tax Note Project. The College aims to implement various projects over the next three years, although the term of the agreement may extend beyond this period if necessary.

Work Details

The selected individual will provide Staff Augmentation Project Management services for specific projects at Buildings A, B, C, and D on Alvin College's main campus. The projects include:

Fire Protection System Upgrades

- Technology and Security Systems Upgrades. The total project budget is $30,000,000, which encompasses design and soft costs. Responsibilities include coordinating with project architects and contractors, assisting in the development of construction documents, managing multiple construction projects, ensuring contract compliance, coordinating project scheduling and budgeting, conducting onsite observations, attending project meetings, and assisting with claim resolution.

Period of Performance

The anticipated period of performance is three years from the start date; however, it may extend beyond this timeframe until all assigned projects are completed.

Place of Performance

The contract will be performed at Alvin College's main campus located at 3110 Mustang Road, Alvin, TX 77511.

Bidder Requirements

The selected vendor must maintain professional liability or errors and omissions insurance in a minimum amount of $1,000,000 per occurrence. The vendor cannot self-perform any work in the program or serve as a subcontractor on any project within the program.
