Overhead Door Repair Services Re-Bid

Background

Ben Franklin Transit (BFT), a municipal corporation of the State of Washington, is soliciting bids for overhead door repair services. The agency operates multiple facilities including a Maintenance building and a Bus Wash building, which house a total of thirty-two overhead doors, with various types being motorized and stationary. The goal of this contract is to ensure the proper maintenance and repair of these doors to support BFT's operational efficiency.

Work Details

The contractor will provide inspection, repair, and replacement services for overhead doors at BFT facilities. Specific tasks include: - Providing up to 80 hours of labor annually for inspection and repairs. - All parts and materials used must be new, of good quality, and free from defects. - The contractor must obtain all necessary permits for work performed. - Services must comply with local, state, and federal regulations. - Emergency repair services are required outside normal business hours as needed. - The contractor must provide qualified technicians for repairs on an as-needed basis.

Period of Performance

The contract will commence upon receipt and acceptance of a Notice to Proceed and will last for an initial term of one year with options to extend up to one additional year.

Place of Performance

All services will be performed at Ben Franklin Transit’s Maintenance building and Bus Wash building located at 1000 Columbia Park Trail, Richland, WA 99352.

Bidder Requirements

Contractors must be licensed in the State of Washington and have at least two years of experience in providing similar services. They must comply with prevailing wage laws as per Chapter 39.12 RCW, provide proof of insurance, submit three commercial project references with their bid, and have a current Washington State Unified Business Identifier (UBI) number.
