Summary (Newest Update)

Background This contract is issued by the 82d Contracting Squadron at Sheppard AFB, Texas, to provide Exhaust Hoods cleaning and certification services. The mission of the agency is to ensure that kitchen exhaust systems are maintained to prevent fire hazards and comply with industry standards. The goal of this contract is to engage a qualified service provider who can deliver these essential cleaning services efficiently and effectively. Work Details The contractor shall provide all personnel, equipment, tools, supplies, expertise, materials, and other items necessary for cleaning kitchen exhaust hoods and ducts at Sheppard AFB and Sheppard Annex at Lake Texoma. Key tasks include: 1. Performing routine cleaning of kitchen exhaust hoods and ducts in compliance with industry standards. 2. Ensuring that all service providers are certified by an industry-standard organization such as IKECA. Proof of certification must be provided annually or as directed. 3. Maintaining at least one certified technician on-site during work performance. 4. Responding to emergency or special cleaning requests within 5 hours during both duty and non-duty hours. 5. Providing contractor-owned or leased vehicles that are safe, clean, and properly maintained for transportation needs related to the contract. 6. Submitting After Service Reports (ASR) for any emergency work performed. Place of Performance The services will be performed at Sheppard AFB and Sheppard Annex at Lake Texoma, approximately 120 miles from Sheppard AFB. Incumbent Analysis (see Incumbents section for more detail) This opportunity appears to have a confirmed incumbent, with Safety-Hood holding prior Air Force contracts for exhaust hoods cleaning and certification at Sheppard AFB under FA302021D0004 (10/01/21–03/31/27, $384,880), as well as follow-on tasking periods in 2024–2026 (e.g., $81,785 for 10/01/24–12/04/25 and $99,195 for 10/01/25–09/30/26). The prior work descriptions align closely with the current requirement to clean kitchen exhaust hoods and ducts and provide certified technician support, indicating the effort is likely a continuation of the same services under an updated solicitation cycle.
