Hale Ho'ola Acuity Lighting System

Background

The Department of Health (DOH), Hawaii State Hospital (HSH) is seeking a contractor for the restoration of the Hale Ho'ola Building Acuity Lighting control system. The goal of this contract is to ensure safe, reliable, and continuous operation of the lighting control system at the hospital.

Work Details

The contractor will be responsible for the following tasks: - Update all Acuity lighting control software and standalone devices. - Verify that all Acuity devices are online and functioning correctly. - Diagnose and correct existing offline devices and system faults. - Identify and correct low-voltage cabling deficiencies. - Correct faulty power packs controlling plug and lighting loads. - Repair non-functioning lighting fixtures connected to the lighting control system. - Develop a comprehensive building map identifying all existing HUBs, Eclipse Controllers, Electrical Panels, Circuits, Exterior Devices, and related lighting control infrastructure. - Conduct one on-site training session for designated Hospital personnel on Acuity system software and programming.

Period of Performance

The contract will commence on July 1, 2026, and conclude on June 30, 2026, unless terminated earlier by HSH with four weeks' written notice.

Place of Performance

All work will be performed on the grounds of Hawaii State Hospital located at 45-710 Kea'ahala Road, Kaneohe, HI 96744.

Bidder Requirements

Bidders must have at least 5 years of experience with Acuity Lighting Systems. They must provide proof of compliance through Hawaii Compliance Express (HCE) and maintain a valid State of Hawaii Contractor License. Additionally, contractors are required to have general liability insurance of at least $1 million per occurrence and $2 million aggregate, as well as automobile insurance of at least $1 million per occurrence.
