Background

The Pine Lake Cove Remote Well Water Line Extension project is issued by Montgomery County MUD No. 138. It aims to enhance water supply infrastructure by connecting a remote well to the existing Pine Lake Cove Water Plant. This project is essential for improving water distribution and ensuring reliable access to water resources in the area.

Work Details

The contractor will provide and install approximately 3,700 linear feet of 8-inch C-900 water line, utilizing both open cut and trenchless construction methods. The scope includes: - Obtaining a TPDES General Storm Water Permit. - Grading utility spoils. - Clearing and grubbing designated easement areas. - Hydro-mulch seeding. - Installing protective fencing. - Constructing drainage swales. - Installing various components such as air release valves, gate valves, and silt fencing. Specific tasks include: - Provide and install 8-inch PVC C900 water line via open cut method (3,459 LF). - Provide and install 8-inch PVC C900 water line via trenchless construction (93 LF). - Provide trench safety systems for utilities (3,645 LF). - Mobilization and bonding of resources. - Installation of inlet protection barriers and protective sodding along right-of-way.

Period of Performance

The contract period for completion is set at 45 days from the commencement date.

The work will be performed in Montgomery County, Texas, specifically at the Pine Lake Cove site.

Bidder Requirements

Bidders must maintain staffed offices within 60 miles of the project site in Texas. They are required to submit written verification of satisfactory performance on comparable projects within 150 miles if requested by the engineer. Additionally, bidders must provide a list of equipment dedicated to the project and an audited financial statement covering the last fiscal year.
