2026 Pipe Rehabilitation and Reline

Background

The City of Kennesaw is issuing a Request for Bids (RFB) for the rehabilitation of drainage pipes as part of their infrastructure improvement efforts. The goal of this contract is to enhance the drainage system within the city, ensuring effective water management and preventing potential flooding issues.

Work Details

The project includes furnishing all labor, materials, and equipment necessary for the construction and related improvements. Specifically, the work involves the rehabilitation of pipe segments as shown in the attached exhibits. The repair methods permitted for this project include either a cured-in-place pipe lining or a spray-in lining system. A mandatory pre-bid meeting will be held to discuss project details.

Period of Performance

The contract work is expected to commence within thirty (30) days after the Notice to Commence is issued, following the acceptance of the bid. The bids are due by June 26, 2026.

Place of Performance

The work will be performed in Kennesaw, Georgia, specifically at locations indicated in the attached exhibits related to drainage pipe segments.

Bidder Requirements

Bidders must submit a certified check or acceptable Bid Bond amounting to at least five percent (5%) of their bid. The successful bidder will also need to provide a contract performance bond equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the contract price and a payment bond equal to one hundred ten percent (110%) of the contract price. Proof of insurance coverage as required by the City must also be provided.
