Background The 502d Contracting Squadron at JBSA Lackland is conducting market research to identify potential contractors capable of providing, installing, and upgrading Intrusion Detection Software (IDS) and Access Control Systems (ACS) at Lackland AFB. The goal of this contract is to enhance the security infrastructure at the base while ensuring minimal disruption to existing operations. Work Details The contract involves the installation and configuration of new appliances for the ACS V5 system across three buildings. The new installations must align with current system requirements and incorporate new features as specified in the Statement of Work (SOW). Key points include: - Coordination of changes must minimize impact on BDOC visibility of alarm points and maintain facility security. - All changes will require approval from local building security officers. - The existing IDS V5 and ten ACS V5 systems will remain unchanged until they can be upgraded later. - If approved, an upgrade from V5 to V6 appliances may occur based on the CMD Equipment Approval list dated 29Apr2024. - Currently, there is one IDS V5 and six ACS V5s supporting the three buildings.
