Background

The City of Cincinnati, through its Office of Procurement, is seeking bids for the replacement of glass-lined grit discharge piping at the Mill Creek Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP). This project aims to enhance the operational efficiency and reliability of the wastewater treatment process by replacing aging infrastructure. The work will involve removing existing piping and installing new glass-lined pipes as part of the grit discharge system.

Work Details

The contractor will be responsible for: - Removing approximately 700 feet of 4-inch plain-end glass-lined grit discharge and drain pipes and fittings located in the grit building. - Replacing these with city-furnished glass-lined pipes and fittings. - Installation includes cutting city-furnished plain-end pipe to fit Victaulic couplings, purchasing new Style #31 or #341 Victaulic couplings, and stainless steel 304 bolts for installation. - Modifying or installing additional pipe supports and anchors as necessary to ensure safe load-bearing in accordance with specified sections. - Performing pressure and leak testing on the installed piping system and submitting a report of test results to the City within one week after testing. - All other equipment not pre-purchased by the City must be provided by the contractor.

Period of Performance

The work is expected to begin within five calendar days following the issuance of a Notice to Proceed from MSDGC. Substantial completion is required within 90 calendar days from that date, with final completion within 120 calendar days thereafter.

Place of Performance

The work will be performed at the Mill Creek Wastewater Treatment Plant located in Cincinnati, Ohio.

Bidder Requirements
