Scope of Work

The project consists of minor renovations to prepare a suite for Quest Collegiate Academy, a new early college high school located on the Trinity River Campus. The work includes: - Installation of a new storefront to accommodate new aluminum and glass doors with hardware - Addition of a pass-through window - Construction of a new counter with sink and undercounter refrigerator in the designated nurses area (currently used as storage) - Upgrades to the nurses area, including power, data, HVAC, and lighting, to support use by personnel - Replacement of finishes and materials in all areas modified for new elements, matching existing conditions - Flooring infill (to be provided to the contractor from TCCD attic stock) - Provision of graphics for glazed surfaces and directional signage - Provision of equipment as outlined in the construction scope - Relocation of the existing fire extinguisher to accommodate a new double door at the suite entry point - Provision of infrastructure only for AV/IT equipment, cabling, and terminations (projector to be provided by TCC)

This solicitation is issued by Tarrant County College District (TCCD) for renovations at the Trinity River Campus.

Background

The renovations are necessary to prepare the suite for the opening of Quest Collegiate Academy, a new early college high school, in time for the upcoming fall session. The work is scheduled to begin on July 12, 2026, with classes starting August 17, 2026. The estimated budget for the project is $100,000. Drawings are expected to be released on the day of the walk-through.

Contract Requirements

This project is classified as construction, not maintenance. In accordance with Texas Government Code 2253.021: - Bidders must provide payment bonds for all work over $25,000 - Bidders must provide performance bonds for all work over $100,000 - The cost of bonds is the contractor's responsibility and must be included in the base bid amount All information is to be included on construction drawings; there will be no separate project manual or specifications.
