Request For Information (RFI) for Fire System Repairs at the FEMA Transportable Housing Storage Site (THSS) in Selma, Alabama (address: 661 Selfield Rd, Selma, Alabama, 36703). Vendors responding to the RFI are required to provide their best solution and cost estimate to meet the Draft Statement of Work requirements. Site Visits are allowed. Please see attached RFI for details on Questions submission, Site Visit hours and Points of Contact, and Responses Submission Instructions. Summary: Background The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) is seeking to repair the fire safety equipment at the Selma Transportable Housing Storage Site (THSS) located at 661 Selfield Rd, Selma, Alabama. The goal of this contract is to ensure that all fire safety equipment is repaired, tested, and fully operational to protect personnel and property in the event of a fire emergency. Work Details The Contractor shall furnish all materials, equipment, and services necessary to fulfill the repair requirements under this contract. Specific tasks include: - CLIN 1 – Repair / Replacement: - Investigate the underground leak on fire hydrant #1 by uncovering the pipe to determine the cause of the leak for quoting repairs under CLIN 2. - Replace missing sprinkler head list in the head box. - Replace missing FDC sign. - Complete a 5-year internal inspection on Systems #1, #2, and the riser room. - Replace control sign at the fire pump house and ITV signs in specified locations. - Provide a pump representative and technician to remove and inspect the fire pump casing, replace necessary components, and run a churn test for operation verification. - CLIN 2 – Additional Repair/Replacement (as needed): - Complete any additional repairs identified during CLIN 1 work with COR approval. - Remove and install jockey pump, jockey pump controller, and fire pump control panel if necessary during CLIN 1 work with a certified electrician on-site for installation facilitation. - Install a new fire hydrant and underground valve if determined necessary during CLIN 1 work. Period of Performance Work shall be performed within 30 days after award, generally between the hours of 0730 and 1530 Central Time, Monday through Friday (except Federal holidays). Place of Performance The contract will be performed on-site at Selma THSS located at 661 Selfield Rd, Selma, AL 36703. Bidder Requirements The Contractor must provide a certified electrician on-site during specific installations as required under CLIN 2. Additionally, all repairs under CLINs require COR approval before any work can be completed.
