Tree Removal Services for Norway Maple Heritage Tree

A recent meeting document Vancouver - Urban Forestry Commission Agenda - 2026-05-20 indicates a future potential acquisition UF Staff Jesse Batty presented the current state of a Heritage Tree Program tree in Vancouver (a Norway Maple) with declining health, including a review of staff’s on-site visit and documentation of physical and biological decay, attempts made to remedy these conditions, and the ultimate recommendation by UF Staff to remove the tree for health and safety as all viable remedies have been exhausted. Motion by Jess Durfee, seconded by Lauren Danner, and carried unanimously to accept the recommendation by Urban Forestry staff to remove the Norway Maple Heritage Tree presented. This will likely require contracting with a tree removal or arborist service.
