Background

The Washington State Department of Ecology is seeking to establish a service contract for regular landscape maintenance at its headquarters located at 300 Desmond Drive SE, Lacey, WA 98503. Work Details

The contractor will provide labor, materials, supplies, and equipment necessary for landscape maintenance services which include: - Mowing turf areas at specified heights and frequencies; - Fertilization based on soil testing; - Weed control using approved herbicides; - Insect control as directed; - Irrigation system operation and maintenance; - Monthly monitoring for pests; - Removal of unusable materials; - Pruning of trees and shrubs; - Maintaining mulch depth; - Hard surface cleaning; - Maintaining interior and exterior planters. Specific tasks include mowing various landscape types with defined cutting heights, applying fertilizers according to soil tests, controlling weeds through manual removal or herbicides, conducting monthly inspections of drainage features, and ensuring all work complies with state regulations.

Period of Performance

The contract period is from July 1, 2026 to June 30, 2027. Ecology reserves the right to extend the contract for up to five additional one-year periods based on funding availability.

The services will be performed at the Department of Ecology’s headquarters located at 300 Desmond Drive SE, Lacey, WA 98503.

Bidder Requirements

Bidders must be licensed to conduct business in Washington State or commit to becoming licensed within thirty days of selection. They must have at least three years of experience providing similar services and be licensed to apply pesticides in Washington State at the time of bidding. Additionally, bidders must not be suspended or debarred from government contracts and possess all applicable licenses and certifications by LNI as a contractor.
