Force Main Inspection and Maintenance Services for Medfield, Rock Branch, Holly Brook, and Forest Oak Force Mains

Background

The Town of Cary, North Carolina, is seeking qualified firms to provide Force Main Inspection and Maintenance Services for the Medfield, Rock Branch, Holly Brook, and Forest Oak force mains. The goal of this contract is to ensure the proper functioning and maintenance of these critical infrastructure components.

Work Details

Contractor services required include: A. For the Medfield force main: a. Remove existing bypass connection and piping. b. Installation of pigging access/bypass connection. B. For the Rocky Branch and Holly Brook force mains: a. Pigging of force mains. b. Pipe condition inspection using a 'smart pig' internal inspection device. c. Provide access pit(s) for pipe inspection by Engineer. C. For the Forest Oaks force main: a. Installation of pigging access/bypass connection. b. Locate and raise to grade buried ARV manhole. c. Locate valve box and raise to grade.

Period of Performance

The contract will be performed in 2026, with bids due on June 23, 2026.

Place of Performance

The work will be performed in Cary, North Carolina.

Bidder Requirements

Contractors must be licensed to perform the specified type of contracting in North Carolina and must include a non-collusive affidavit with their bids. They must comply with Article 2 of Chapter 64 of the North Carolina General Statutes regarding 'Verification of Work Authorization' and provide necessary documentation or affidavits as requested by the Town of Cary.
